Oh, it’s not that much nudity if you view it objectively, but it’s Natalie Portman, and it’s a Wes Anderson “movie” or “short” or “prologue” – or whatever term might apply to this 13-minute project that exists in the same universe as The Darjeeling Limited, as kind of a back story for the Schwartzman character.

Video. These 4K clips are just so unwieldy, and GoFile is fussy about what it will play. If you want to watch it online, the .mp4 version will play, but the quality is reduced. The .mkv version is primo in quality, but you have to download it to play it.

I think some of these are actually pretty cool. (Example: L.A. Kings 1995). Some others are kinda bad, but two stand out as totally egregious: the “throwback” uniforms worn by the Montreal Canadiens in 2009 (based on 1912-1913) and Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012 (based on 1933-1934). As the commercial used to say, “Yipes! Stripes.”

The Steelers uniform is obviously also a throwback to the first season of Saturday Night Live.

Really odd is the fact that the Canadiens couldn’t wear the barber pole uniforms when they played in Ottawa in 1912-1913 – because they were too similar to the home team’s outfits!

The Canadiens’ jersey is for sale online, but the jersey itself looks sensible enough when it is standing alone. It’s the candy cane pants that really make it awful,

My least favorite of last year was the 2025 Detroit Lions. They had some uniform combinations that looked really sharp, but they played other games in their jammies, looking exactly like a girls’ softball team.

There is also pastry talk here and there. It’s obvious from the context that this is coded language. Many people have pointed out that “cheese pizza” was the code for “child porn” on 4Chan, but it’s not 100% certain that Epstein meant exactly this. For example, others refer to “pizza” as code for “piece of (ass).” Various people have speculated about “grape soda,” like “grape = rape,” but nobody has been able to decode it with absolute authority. I have not read any speculation about “Chinese cookie.”

The most upsetting thing about these communications is that the names (other than Epstein’s) have been redacted, in direct contravention of the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

You can probably figure out who that is by searching the Epstein files for other mentions of “Chinese cookie,” “pizza,” “go kno” and “grape soda.” Interestingly, the DoJ redacted one of the participants in that conversation, but not the other. (Somehow Woody Allen is also involved in that text. Now that I consider it, that’s probably not surprising.)

After I looked through the files, one thing that struck me is that the pizzagate QAnon nutbags were kinda-sorta on to something. They misread all the code, targeted all the wrong people, and got all the details wrong, but it seems there was a pedophile ring, and pizza was somehow related.
