1. Well, a vaguely MLB post to reply to. I always liked the daily grind kinda ball that no one else seems to anymore. Da Jints have a losing record, ten GB da Dahjiz (a 600 club only bested by 3 others but lost 10-1 to da Fillys yestiddy). Anyhow, tuned in ma car radio by chance just in time for a walk-off wild pitch to beat da Jaze.

   Solo homer inna 4th by Ramos, da Jints surprise all-star, Jints 1-0. 3-run shot inna 7th like ta put a close game away fer da Jaze 3-1. 8th, solo homer by Fitz, 3-2. Da Jints bottom 9th got a hit, Fitz got walked, another single, tie game. Fitz standing on 3rd sez after da game he was hopin, any ball inna dirt, he gonna trite a steal. I mean, 2 down, 2-2 pitch. Next thing, PbyP erupts, “Ball gets away. Game is over!”

   Sweet words: “One changeup too many.” Ball lands 2ft in fronta da plate, catcher falls to knees, classic blocking stance, ball bounces clear over his shoulder, no chance. Ya never know. I mean, dat’s ma old-time baseball.

   Jints have 4 new yutes fresh off the farm for speed & some hitting. Looks like base running might be a thing for them post all-star. Not saying they got a better shot than the Warriors, who also ain’t. But I like close games. 10-1 can go ESAD.

   1. Two more little details. Snell, the Giants’ last year’s Cy Young, still 0-3 thanks to that 3-run shot. But maybe a sign he’s on the mend. The Jays got 3-hit. But two came in that 7th.
