Answer: the going-round becomes somewhat less merry.
They are mighty lucky that the plate securing the engine ripped off in that particular direction, into an open field. If it had headed toward their flimsy bunker, there could have been fatal consequences. In another direction, they might have destroyed an expensive excavator.
And then there was the massive engine itself, which rolled off harmlessly. Things could have been so much worse.

Morons will be morons.
A lot of it looked staged and they have over 7.5 million subs so I’m not sure money is a concern for them. Still, I don’t know what the odds would look like for this guy’s life expectancy. We have people falling to their death off tall buildings for tiktok videos so I guess it isn’t that unusual nowadays.
This was the first WhistlinDiesel I’ve ever watched. I really wish YouTube hadn’t stopped showing the number of downvotes. If a bunch of adults decide they want to film themselves doing something incredibly dangerous, reckless, and stupid, that’s one thing. But doing that with children anywhere near that engine is criminal. Have you ever heard of adults being charged with reckless endangerment of a child?
While we can’t see the number of downvotes, I thought it would be interesting to look at the number of likes as a percentage of total views. This video has been watched 5.6 million times and has gotten 244,000 likes, which is 4.357%. I thought that was a deservedly low percentage, but I really didn’t know what percentages were considered good or bad, so I looked at a couple of others.
I started with Mark Rober’s most recent video. That video compares lava and lasers to determine which is more destructive. The video has been watched 20 million times and gotten 496,000 likes. That is 2.345%. I also looked at a recent video from the Slow Mo Guys. They did a video with Adam Savage last month in which they fired geese made of ballistic gel at a bust of Fabio. That video has been watched 2.73 million times and received 91,000 likes. That is only 3.33%.
So, I guess the WhistlinDiesel video was more popular than I thought. I had previously watched and liked Marl Rober’s and the Slow Mo Guys’ videos, and I gave the merry-go-round video a downvote. I really don’t know what it says about humanity or, more accurately, the people who watch YouTube videos, but I guess I’m not typical. But as I said above, it would be nice to see the number of down votes.

Thanks. I’ll have to get that extension. I already use an extension that reveals the date a video was published.
