I go through Tuna’s old collages regularly to seek inspiration for new projects, and just to enjoy some nostalgia. The film Decoys came onto the radar today, and it got me to wondering about Kim.
Hailing from Quebec, Kim had a fairly strong presence in the film world, and in the nude scene world, in the first decade of the 2000s. She was still working as of 2015, but I suppose she realized at that point that she had had been performing for more than 30 years without any possibility of future stardom, so she got married in 2016, and walked away from the whole entertainment business at age 35. She got so deep into private life that she even abandoned her Facebook page. As far as I know, she never looked back. I haven’t read a word about her since she got married, other than IMDb’s note that she has two children.

Today I learned that race hiking is a thing.
Very pretty – she did seem to retire right when Hollywood movies eased up on nudity. Reminds me of another hot blond who did a bunch of nudity, Laura Ramsey from The Ruins, who also seems to have disappeared
I mean, it’s probably more that the acting hustle is fundamentally a young person’s game, and most folks will opt for stability in their thirties over continuing to chase the diminishing returns. Especially if the bulk of the jobs you were getting were rooted in being young, blonde and willing to take your top off. When you’re 35, more of those jobs are going to actresses ten years younger, and it’s easier to get married and open a yoga studio.
Here’s one more nude scene of Kim’s from Paradise Falls season 2. There was nearly a 4 year gap in between seasons 2 and 3, and I believe she was the only one to do any nudity when it came back.

That’s funny, as I’m pretty sure she was the only one who didn’t do any nudity at all in the first season (which was the only season I watched), which made her nude scenes in “Decoys” really surprising when it came out.
Maybe the source I saw was woefully incomplete, but it struck me that it had surprisingly few nude scenes for a show that was supposedly “very sexy” and had 104 episodes.
It’s been a while since I went through it, but I think only one actress went as far as to go topless in season 1, though did it a number of times. The rest of the sexiness was some rear nudity from a few of the regulars, and a whole lot of implied nudity. And after season 1, things fell off significantly.
How many movies are named with euphemism for passing gas?
