I guess they want to beat this show to death. Perhaps it could be the victim of its own hero. I know it was fairly popular, but I never liked the premise and will never watch it. The idea that a serial killer creates a code of only killing bad people is absurd. To watch a show about a serial killer would be interesting, watching a show about some fantasy mass murderer, torturous type is just torture porn. He’s some kind of politically correct serial killer. The story is so silly it cannot be taken seriously.
I agree. I have always found the entire premise nauseating. I’ve seen clips because the original show had some nudity, but those moments gave me absolutely no motivation to watch the show. I’ve never watched even a single episode from start to finish.

Only saw the first season: heard the later seasons fell off but from what I understand at some point they were trying to dig into the hypocrisy of him thinking himself The Good Murderer, except the writing had at that point jumped the shark (even great shows shouldn’t be more than 3-4 seasons imo) – BUT it did have great nudity, including the first topless for fabulous babe Dora Madison, who’s gone on to quite a Fappening portfolio

They are beyond beating a dead horse with this now. The Jeff Lindsay books are worth it, the show too quickly branched off from them.
Not everything needs an origin story.
I’ve nothing against the idea of a prequel series, but it seems odd to literally replicate not only the story that was told in flashbacks in the original series, but the very shot as well.
