Any context to what’s going on? I don’t speak the language, but I’m guessing he was a sex addict who raped her or went too far? But then the first video is confusing.
You have the general idea. She loves him and becomes co-dependent. She doesn’t know how to set healthy boundaries, so she gets drawn into loveless, wild sex and it often leaves both of them ashamed. Like most co-dependents, her feelings fluctuate between a desire to control/reform and a willingness to surrender.
They would both like to establish normal, tender intimacy, but don’t know how to get there.
I could really relate to this one. I could relate to the woman. I loved a woman who had this problem, and I just didn’t know how to escape the cycle. I would say things like “Do I always have to pretend to be a rapist? Can’t I just be me occasionally?” Usually I would give in to her fantasies because I didn’t want to disappoint her, but the feeling became ever-stronger that there was no tenderness and no real intimacy in these acts, and there was a growing tension between us because there were borders that I could not cross. (I’m OK with pretending to be violent, but she wanted it more realistic.) I was lucky that she eventually got disappointed in my reluctance to play ever more dangerous games. She’s the one who broke it off, and I was devastated because I really enjoyed every minute with her when we weren’t having sex, but as I look back on it, I was really fortunate that she set me free. We could not continue as we were, and I didn’t know how to make things better.
