Reactions to the film were polarized. It made both “best of the year” and “worst of the year” lists.
Four children live with their terminally ill mother. After she dies, they try to hold things together. In their isolated house, they begin to deteriorate mentally, whilst they hide their mom’s decomposing corpse in a makeshift concrete sarcophagus.

Dancer runs a brothel out of a pair of vans. They roam the highways, stopping at truck stops and van rallies, picking up work wherever they can get it. Life seems pretty much ideal for these nomadic hookers until one day they ride into a small town where the local paper is run by frustrated newspaper man Mountain Dean and his dim-witted assistant Boots Clayborn. Dean, desperate for a big story to break his career, decides to investigate some unusual C.B. chatter he hears on the office radio: talk of “fruits” and “tunnels,” and unfamiliar C.B. handles (notably “Hot Box 1” and “Hot Box 2”) that mean somebody new is in town. Meanwhile, Sheriff Elrod P. Ramsey is on the trail of Dancer and his girls as well, stacking the odds against the C.B. hustlers that they will be able to get out of town before they get thrown in the slammer.
For unknown reasons, Uschi is credited as Elke Vann in the opening titles. It makes no sense for her to have used a pseudonym because she was instantly identifiable, thanks to her having displayed her unique assets in about 100 films before this one.
Tuna cleaned up those images considerably. The video is watchable, but barely so.

It won’t be easy to catch Kate, given that she’s still at it. Her most recent appearance was just last year – in Lee, a movie where Noemie Merlant was also naked in the same scene.
