A new film from Italian master Paolo Sorrentino.
The long journey of Parthenope’s life, from her birth in 1950 till today. A feminine epic, devoid of heroism but brimming with an inexorable passion for freedom, Naples, and the faces of love—all those true, pointless, and unspeakable loves. The perfect Capri summer, the lightheartedness of youth. Which ends in ambush. And then all the others—the Neapolitans, men and women, observed and loved, disillusioned and vital, their waves of melancholy, their tragic ironies and dejected glances. Life, be it ordinary or memorable, knows how to be very long. The passing of time offers up a vast repertoire of emotions. And there in the background, so close and so very far, is Naples, this ineffable city that bewitches, enchants, screams, laughs, and always knows how to hurt you.
That sounds like some pretentious bullshit, but there is excellent nudity.
(Yes, even the nudity is pretentious bullshit, but she is gorgeous!)
Here are Margherita’s comments about this role (from her Instagram):
I can’t put into words the mix of emotions I felt on this very special set..
For me it was a real test of courage… I never consider myself up to anything and the real victory was freeing myself from myself, from my cumbersome judgment that did nothing but suffocate me and so finally thanks to the help of the “Master” I gave body and soul to this character, Vittoria. Thank you Paolo Sorrentino for your trust and for making me fall in love with this job even more. A special thanks to the entire crew, I admired the meticulous work behind every single detail always with such a positive energy and full of love. Thanks to my agent but even before that to my coach, who prepared me from the first auditions with great love and passion without ever holding back. How beautiful is the cinema.
Trivia from IMDb:
At the beginning of the film’s end credits, a dedication appears: “To Luca”. On the morning of September 1, 2023, in Capri, during the final days of filming Parthenope, the body of Luca Canfora, the film’s costume designer, was found in the sea between the Grotta dell’Arsenale and the Faraglioni. The causes of his death are still unknown, whether it was due to illness, murder, or suicide. Fifty-one-year-old Canfora was long known as Paolo Sorrentino’s costume designer for his work with the Oscar-winning director, having “signed” the costumes of key characters in The Great Beauty (2013) and The Young Pope (2016).
Previously on Other Crap:
Margherita made our list of the top nude performances of 2023 with her nude scenes in four episodes of Noi Siamo Leggenda. If this series had come out before December, or if it been better known internationally, she probably would have finished in the top ten. As it was, her best scenes came out after the nominating process, so I had to add her manually to the nominees.

I say Parthe-YEP
Naples is pretty good, but I bet if you tried, you could eff it.
Damn i was hoping that the unbelievably beatiful lead of this movie Celeste Dalla Porta would be nude in the film too, fot sure if she ever is nude in something that would crack the top 10 of the year it happens.
Probably a crime against humanity that Sorrentino didn’t get his leading lady nude in this film. Maybe it was plot relevant, i haven’t actually seen the movie.
Early candidate for nude scene of the year?
