French-language biopic filmed in Italy about a female Italian painter. It was originally rated NC-17 for its strong sexual content and nudity, but was re-rated R on appeal.

Artemisia Gentileschi (1593-1653) was one of the first well-known female painters. The movie tells the story of her youth, when she was guided and protected by her father, the painter Orazio Gentileschi. Her professional curiosity about the male anatomy, forbidden for her eyes, led her to the knowledge of sexual pleasure. But she was also well known because in 1612 she had to appear in a courtroom because her teacher, Agostino Tassi, was suspected of raping her. She tried to protect him, but was put in the thumb screws…

Per IMDb:

The movie is a biography of the painter Artemisia Gentileschi, but many major details of her life were changed, leading to widespread criticism. In the movie, the relationship between Artemisia and Agostino is portrayed as a beautiful love affair, and the reason Artemisia is is tortured is because she refuses to testify that he raped her. In reality, Agostino really did rape Artemisia (and other women), and the reason she was tortured was because she DID testify in court that he had raped her.

The Art of Dying (1991)

She appeared topless in close to a dozen films, but her appearances were T&A only, as far as I can recall without researching it. She did no full frontals, but possessed a chest we wanted to see again and again. (There was a brief glimpse of the top of her pubic hair in the open-matte version of Fraternity Vacation.)

Kathleen is 60 now. That might make you feel old, but probably not as old as it makes me feel, given that I used to have a teenage crush on her mother (Abby Dalton)!

She’s still working. Per IMDb, she recently co-starred in a web series called Phoenix, where she looks like this.

There was some interest in her in another thread.

You’ve probably read that she is the niece of stage and screen legend Claude Rains, the Invisible Man himself, who followed up a brilliant theater career with major roles in many of the greatest films ever made, specializing in suave villains. Here are some of many examples:

As for his niece, Frances’ nude career was quite short, 1984 through 1986, but she managed to squeeze in four nude appearances. That pretty much ended her career, nude or otherwise. She had only three more appearances after 1986, all insignificant, two of them uncredited.

She then retired into private life where she became Frances Sherman, raised a family, worked as an artist, and appeared in an occasional commercial. She had no IMDb credits between 1990 and 2013, but has now slowly stuck her toe back into the acting water.

If you’re curious about what she looks like now – I’d say pretty darned good. She’s 63 now, and blonde.
