I’m already tired of Millie Bobby Brown and she hasn’t really even done anything yet. She’s just pre-exhausting me.
I have to give her a tip of the cap for marketing savvy. She seems to have found a way for pictures and clips of her to be circulating around the internet all day every day, in headlines like this:
Millie Bobby Brown Admits She ‘Hates’ Wearing Bras: ‘Fans Have to See My Nipples on the Day-to-Day’
I didn’t make that up, and it’s not from The Onion or Drunken Stepfather. It sounds satirical, but it’s a real thing that she said.

I think that she’s a solid actress. I enjoyed Stranger Things, Damsel, and the Sherlock Holmes movies.
I don’t get the hate.
She was thrown directly into superstardom at 12 when a weird little show she did became the biggest thing in the universe. She doesn’t come from showbiz, her parents aren’t rich.
But she survived every bit of awful that comes with being an attractive young girl that’s super famous. No drugs, no booze, no scandal. She stayed super smart, speaking openly about the awful stuff various people tried to do with her.
She came of age, married a good kid from a good family, bought a farm for rescue animals, and now they’ve adopted a baby girl. She works as much as she wants, signs other deals as much as she wants, and is generally winning life on every level.
She’s also absurdly good at what she does.
It’s like people hate her for not being a dumpster fire.
Do people hate her? I wasn’t aware of that. She does make me uncomfortable because she’s so desperate for love and attention, but I don’t see anything to hate. She seems like a good person.
People were perving on her since she became barely legal. Creepy.
Be nice if you tipped us that a link would take us to that site, which seems to be run by the world’s #1 Incel.
Hover over the link. Then look down on the left it says where the link will take you. Clicking is optional. Shit, I’m old and *I* know that much.
I suppose Drunken Stepfather is polarizing. There doesn’t seem to be a middle ground between those who love him and those who hate him. I think his online persona is basically artifice, like a wrestling “heel.” If you think of him that way, you’ll probably understand why some people like his site. Lots of wrestling fans loved Bobby Heenan.
The difference with wrestling is that the faces get to fight back (and usually win) agains the heels. People love the baddies when they know the baddies are there to lose. There’s no equivalence in the world of Drunken Stepfather, because very few of the women he is ranting against are on his level. He’s either punching down at low-level actresses or punching up at big stars, he’s never actually punching at someone his own size.
I’m not some sort of white knight here – I’m not trying to protect women from Drunken Stepfather or anything like that. But for me, when I look at celeb sites, I want them to come from the same perspective as me – someone who appreciates beautiful women for their beauty, not resents them for it.
I don’t see that as a differentiation. The whole point of Bobby Heenan’s schtick was to state as obvious the very opposite of what we could see with our own eyes, and to make every possible disparaging comment about the people that are praised by the “straight” announcers. If everyone else said “great move,” Heenan would say “dumb and incompetent.” It seems to me that DS is just the written version of Bobby Heenan. If everyone else says Millie Bobby Brown is a great person and a great beauty, he says she’s a whoring skank whose face could stop a clock.
In fact, to your point that the faces get to fight back in wrestling, the faces get all the voice in real life. It’s the baddies that don’t really get to fight back in real life because the mainstream shows tend to speak with a single voice in which everything and everybody in showbiz is wonderful. For those who disagree, DS (like Trump) is a Bobby Heenan. He is a voice for the disenfranchised, for the C students working a McJob while other worse students get rich only because they have great boobs, for the outcasts, for the incels, for those who find all stardom artificial and almost all of it unearned. He has a following for a lot of the same reasons that Trump does, because he shits on those who are sycophantically praised by People Magazine and Entertainment Tonight and CNN. For those sickened by such fulsome praise, DS is an emetic.
Do I agree with him? Almost never. But there are times when he really hits a nerve, and it’s never wise to underestimate the power of that.
My only real problem with his commentary is that I always seem to know exactly what he’s going to say, so I usually skip down to the pics.
