Straight-to-internet caper movie.
Blinded with jealousy over the wealth accumulated by his best friend, a local mob boss, a narcissist of psychotic proportions schemes to steal his infant son to obtain a multi-million dollar settlement from the hospital’s insurance company. In so doing, he ignites a chain reaction that overwhelms the lives of his now suicidal wife, her nymphomaniacal younger sister with whom he’s having an affair, a deeply indebted gambling and alcoholic lawyer, a Brooklyn born bookmaker/pimp and his London strongman, a rural ex-com seeking redemption from his angelic wife and a hard-nosed insurance investigator – all embroiled in a fascinating study of greed, betrayal, love and murder.
Maybe not THAT fascinating. It stars Rob Schneider and is rated 4.2 at IMDb, which tells you just about all you need to know.

There are no user reviews or external reviews of this movie on the IMDB (which calls it a 2024 movie, BTW). Schneider does not play the gangster or the narcissist, but the alcoholic gambling attorney. I was going to express amazement at the idea of casting him, but then I thought about the success of Bob Odenkirk, both as Saul Goodman and in an action movie, so I decided not to. It’s not unknown for comedians to turn in good dramatic persformances, so maybe Rob can too.
Rob is not without talent. People underestimate him. I guess my point is that major filmmakers are not knocking on his door, so you can sort of assume this film is insignificant.
As to the reviews – two questions:
If you made a film starring Rob Schneider, would you send copies to the top reviewers?
Assuming “yes” to question #1, if you were a top reviewer, would you spend some of your precious time on a straight-to-internet Rob Schneider film?
