The legendary Marcel Carne, whose filmography dated back to the silent era, attempted to make a comeback in 1992, at age 85, some two decades after his last successful effort. The film, Mouche, was to have been an adaptation of a famous short story by a distinguished 19th century author, Guy de Maupassant.1
The film never got made for a variety of reasons, primarily financial. You can get the details at marcel-carne.com, or here. (Google Translate is your friend.)
Carne did complete eight days of shooting, and in that period managed to photograph a scene featuring Virginie Ledoyen’s right breast.

Footnote #1: De Maupassant, along with O. Henry, Poe and Chekhov, is considered one of the world’s masters of the short story. (One of his stories, The Necklace, is included in most of the anthologies used for college and prep school survey courses on the importance of the short story form in world literature.)
