There may have been some brief nudity from Tina Ivlev on The Pitt (s2e7)
Scoop,
It could be a body double, and it has all the earmarks of a double scene, but there’s no way to say for sure at this point. If it is she, it would be her nude debut.
When their son starts acting strangely, a couple (Matt Smith and Morfydd Clark) unwittingly allow dark and sinister forces into their home, awakening a long-dormant ancient evil rooted deep in the countryside. Matt Smith has been in some high-profile roles (Dr. Who, Prince Philip, Daemon Targaryen), so I was surprised…
French dramedy. Original title: Venise n’est pas en Italie. 15-year-old Emile lives in Montargis between a sweet-crazy father and a mother who has always dyed his hair blond because “he is more beautiful like that.” When the girl who pleases him more than anything invites him to Venice for the…
It’s funny how this show has a double standard of censorship. Female body is carefully hidden even in scenes where showing female nudity would be justified. On the other hand erect dicks or male buttholes are shown in close-ups without even a hint of shame.
The first season had several instances of female nudity, all in the context of the care being given where urgency trumped modesty, including explicit birthing shots. This was a scene that was explicitly about tending to the patient’s emotional needs first and foremost, and the nurses making a point of making her feel comfortable in a traumatizing situation, including allowing her the grace of modesty and privacy. It’s literally what the scene is about.
The nudity in The Pitt isn’t meant to be sensual; they’re patients in pain, some of them dying. Yes, there is more male nudity in the series, I believe the actors who are hired are more willing to agree to it than women, and I think that’s the reason. As for this specific scene, I don’t know, the camera position makes sense, it preserves the character. A body double for an unknown actress? I find that unlikely, but anyway.
