This is a classic Ozploitation film, chock full of nudity. It is based on Jon Cleary’s novel Helga’s Web, his second featuring the detective Scobie Malone. The film marks the first screen appearance of actor Bryan Brown, who has two lines. He is listed last in the credits, and his name is spelled “Brian Bronn.”
Sydney homicide detective Sergeant Scobie Malone and his offsider investigate the murder of Helga, whose corpse is found in the basement of the Sydney Opera House.
I assume that “offsider” is the Aussie equivalent of “sidekick,” more or less. Or maybe Scobie just travels with an inept footballer.

Trivia:
Bunkie King is one of two sisters that star Jack Thompson lived with in real life. They maintained a ménage à trois for fifteen years. The other sister, Lee King, also appeared in this film, in the challenging role of “Girl at Pool.”
Needless to say, as with all things from Down Under, the film clips can be found at Johnny Moronic’s home.

“Lee King”? Wow. That reminds of the well-known actor, Lee Ving (who really was real). I suppose Lee Ring might work, and Lee Ning, and Lee Sing, and…Lee Ding? There are probably others. Oh, right Lee Ping.
Was Lee Ding a character actor or a leading man?
A great time in Australian film making. It started with Alvin Purple
opening the flood gates.
Is that an unsimulated sex scene or just the balls of a guy?
