4. The guy who spends way too long naked in the locker room.
This type is not confined to youngsters who think they are Adonis. I occasionally run into a guy like this at the Y. He’s a scrawny little guy, about 80 years old, and about as strong as a 4-year-old. He joined my regular group for bowling one week, and he rarely rolled the ball hard enough to get to the pins. We were on different lanes, so I don’t know his exact scores, but I took a glance at their lane and he seemed to be headed for a score around 40. He couldn’t bowl 100 unless he used the kiddie bumpers. Maybe not even then.
But he absolutely insists on running around the locker room stark naked, engaging people in conversation here and there. I suppose the only thing he has going for him is a dick that’s larger than average, and it seems even bigger on his 120-pound body, so …
I don’t think he’s gay, but even if he is, I have to think that the gay guys also find it unappealing. If he were a cocky douche, the guys would give him a rasher of shit and tell him to wrap that junk, but he’s just kind of a clueless sad-sack, so the others never ridicule him or tell him they don’t like it.

Happily, it seems that this is becoming less and less of a problem. When I first started going to gyms a long time ago, it seemed the older guys walked around naked a lot. As time has gone by it only seems to get less common. Now the younger guys actually put towels around their waist when they change. It is a refreshing change, I don’t remember any guys doing that when I was younger.
I remember the first time I showered then went to shave. I thought about it for about one second, decided no, no one wants to see my beast, I put on underwear to shave. I’m lucky, my locker room doesn’t attract that douche.
But a stone lock for #8: it’s not just hits-on-every-woman guy who thinks it’s the 70s. Whoever picks the tunes does too. (Special tip o’ the hat to whatever asswipe insists on piping it into the locker room.) I am old enough where I lived through disco once, my memories of it are not fond, I don’t need more. I’m *already* looking to shower, dress, and gtfo. You don’t have to drive me out with that gorka.
The male nudity thing don’t care about really. If a guy wants to be nude, I say ‘whatever’ – it’s not as though I am paying them any attention. It would be different in the women’s change room.
Which reminds me of the old Woody Allen bit:
Other guy:: Did you find a job?
Woody: Yeah, I got something at the striptease. I help the girls dress and undress.
Other guy: Nice job.
Woody: It’s twenty francs a week.
Other guy: That’s not very much.
Woody: It’s all I can afford to pay.
Maybe you can’t make that joke anymore though.
