How dare she look this adorable? That will undoubtedly give people even more reasons to hate her.

Zack Snyder just released director’s cuts for the two Rebel Moon films. Each is approximately three hours long, compared to two hours for each of the theatrical versions. The director’s cuts received mixed reviews, but there is some irrefutable good news: Sofia Boutella nudity. Video from uncle: Sofia Boutella –…
Sydney’s biggest crime for many people: being a republican and hot lol, supposedly
Not all Republicans are assholes. In fact, I miss the kind of Republicans/conservative who are rational. Although I lean towards left, I prefer to be moderate as there are Republicans I did like such as Orrin Hatch and John McCain. They were reasonable people. Now both Democrats and Republicans have become total fucking retards.
There is actually no real evidence that Sydney Sweeney is a Republican. There is only evidence that a Sydney Sweeney registered in Florida is a Republican. Sweeney herself has not commented, which is absolutely her right.
If we’re going to base this on her paid television roles, including commercials, her Euphoria character is very liberal.
I believe she has said that she is concerned that she has a short window in acting (which is the case with many actresses/’female actors’) so that she wants to make a lot of money in a short period of time.
I don’t care if she’s an idiot. She’s got a nice rack.
I never called her an idiot, I think though you meant “I don’t care even if she’s an idiot.”
However, from what I’ve seen and heard from her, she’s actually highly intelligent.
With that rack I doubt she can even see her shoes unless she’s standing in front of a full length mirror.
Some pretty scathing reviews of her performance and the movie “Christy” in general
True, but I wonder if those reviews might be influenced by the revelation of her political leanings. I don’t care for the current version of the Republican party either, and especially not their President. But in this hothouse political climate, I have doubts that Ms. Sweeney will be able to get fair reviews of her performances going forward. I have not seen “Christy”, so I can’t comment on her acting in that one, but I do think that she is, at least, a competent actress and has a presence on the screen beyond her (admittedly spectacular) rack. Even as.a committed liberal – on most issues anyway – I have concerns about cancel culture. I don’t think that the lady herself has done anything wrong.
I really never though a moment about her politics until the jeans/genes ads and still don’t. I think the movie role is probably out of here depth at her age; trying to take on a complete physical transformation to be a female boxer. The real life Christy Martin is a good story. Take a look if even just Wikipedia
Cancel culture is almost entirely from the right these days.
Also, I highly doubt it in that most film critics have shown no problem in putting aside their general political beliefs (Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert were both Catholics and disliked films like Weekend at Bernie’s because they were both offended by the treatment of Bernie’s body, but that isn’t overtly political and isn’t a general political belief) and there are many right wing film critics.
There is ample evidence with this that the ‘cancel culture’ was from one or two left wing individuals and the right played up those one or two people as if they represented the entire left, and the right wing mainstream media went along with that.
I have not seen the film yet, but it is “fresh” at Rotten Tomatoes, and received some encomiums along with the razzberries:
“One of the year’s best films. It hits with the force of a knockout punch.”
“Elevated by Sydney Sweeney’s deeply committed and often powerful performance”
Her lack of comment about her voter registration absolutely IS her right. Given some of her projects, though — the sweet lesbian teen romance “Everything Sucks!,” the trans-affirming “Euphoria,” and the biopic “Reality” (about a whistleblower during the Dubya years), I would almost be inclined to think she registered Republican for economic issues (save on taxes in case roles dry up) and/or to vote against Cinnamon Toast Hitler in the 2024 primaries.
That’s purely a guess, though. If she started touring the states to advocate for anti-trans legislation or to abolish what’s left of the Wall of Separation, I would have to start seeing her as an enemy of freedom, but she hasn’t done either of those things so far. Hopefully, she never will.
The 2024 Florida presidential primary was in March and she didn’t register as a Republican until June, so that definitely wasn’t a reason for it.
And sure she has the right not to comment, but her silence on the issue just leaves everyone to speculate and come up with their own conclusions. Most of the evidence leans towards it being true, which is why she seems to have become reviled by the left and treated like a darling by the right.
