Trump literally gets into bed with his true love, Satan.
If you haven’t seen it, here is a good overview of the outrageous episode:
Maybe the show went too far by showing a naked Trump in bed with Satan. It’s in bad taste to show a sex scene involving the most evil entity in the history of existence.
And Satan is also there.
I was expecting the Church of Satan to complain about the portrayal of their deity in bed with such an evil, malevolent being.
There is a good reason for that. The Church of Satan does not believe in Satan.
The Church of Satan is an atheist organization that believes in no supernatural entities and embraces humanistic values and self-empowerment. To them, the concept of Satan is the opposite of God only in the sense that God involves irrational belief, and they reject that in favor of reason. Satan is used as a representation of personal responsibility for one’s fate, as opposed to attributing that fate to, and determining ones behavior based on, supernatural entities and their supposed rules.
I suppose that South Park does occasionally hear from real devil-worshipers, just as they hear from Christians and Muslims for their satirical portrayals of Jesus and Muhammad.
Fascinating.
Ironically, that is exactly what Satan would do to try to win; convince everyone that God doesn’t really exist. If the people don’t believe in God, then they’ll go to Hell where Satan can rule over them.
Well, except for that thing about grace, in which everyone is saved through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins. Although there’s probably an unwritten limit to that.
There’s a callback there that South Park has been around so long when they originally did the copy paste face and voice with Satan it was with Saddam. Also their AI face saying 1/50 refers to their new TV deal with Paramount saying they’re going to do this every week daring them to get cancelled. Its going to be a headache for Skydance.
Skydance couldn’t be more deserving of a headache.
