It’s not interesting for the nudity, but it’s a nostalgic moment.

Damn, the recreation is less revealing than the original. Unacceptable.
Female director would be my guess. They are doing the majority of TV work these days. One of the reasons we see a lot less “male gaze” in TV.
Except Spartacus of course!
As many have noticed in recent years, female film makers are more likely to make film/tv shows that show preference toward female nudity or show full frontal female scenes.
There has been a tremendous rise in female directors over the past decade and a tremendous drop in TV nudity. You do the math.
And for the record, yes, this episode was directed by a woman.
That’s genuine retarded logic. Maybe studios want less nudity in order to make more shows that appeal to broader audiences. Fucking dim bulb.
The drop is due to male film makers being far less inclined to casually or salaciously use such content due to cultural-political trends over the last decade.
The ‘male gaze’ does exist, but contrary to what some of my fellow liberals might suggest, there is nothing at all wrong with it. I would classify myself as a feminist, or at least a man who supports feminists, but feminism goes wrong IMO if undermines or criticizes natural sexuality. And it goes wrong for both women and men. Actually women historically have been the main losers of sexual suppression.
Should the ‘female gaze’ also be recognized and be depicted? Absolutely – I am enthusiastic about that. (Erika Lust’s porn flics are a fine example of that.). But there is no reason to deny male sexuality while also making more room, at last, for the female perspective.
RIP Caroline. What a waste of a perfectly fine piece of ass.
