Just your basic grade-Z film about vampires who swing with normal mortal couples. Rated 2.8 at IMDb.

New couple, Rad and Kyla, are invited by Glory to celebrate her engagement to Angelo, her mysterious new boyfriend. At Angelo’s secluded house, Rad discovers that Glory and Angelo are swingers looking to swap partners. When Rad tries to persuade Kyla to leave, her curiosity leads to a steamy encounter where she learns that Angelo is a 500-year-old vampire with sinister intentions.

It doesn’t seem that there are many ancient vampires without sinister intentions. I’ve noticed than most guys get pretty cranky in their 80s, so I suppose they’d be really ornery in their 500s.

Jessica has an amazing head of hair and a helluva tan!

Very hard scene to watch. The last paramedic, futilely trying to revive the dead girl, is her father.

English-Irish horror film

Follows an archaeologist who travels to Ireland to uncover a long-dead tomb. A threat is released and she will have to fight to keep her teenage daughter from falling under the control of The Morrigan, a vengeful Pagan War Goddess.

And yet she succeeds.

So, that’s not much of a goddess, losing to an archeologist. With that as a war goddess, it’s a wonder the Celtic people won any wars at all.

Perhaps that goddess needs to think smaller. I’ll bet she could defeat that guy who played Les Nessman.

I’m not going to spoil the season finale for you except to wonder how the hell Ashur is going to weasel his way out of this one. Remember that this series takes place within an alternate timeline created by Pluto, so the fact that Ashur is alive alters the events of history, beginning with his premature introduction of female gladiators (gladiatrices?) in the time of the first triumvirate, and concluding the season with an action by Ashur that is arguably the most significant possible alteration of Roman history.

Spartacus: House of Ashur has not yet been renewed for a second season, but the creator/showrunner says he has already written it, and is just waiting for the green light.
