R.I.P. Sally Kirkland, 84
She was ubiquitous, like a female Eric Roberts, and was still working in the past two years. Good films, bad films, everything from blockbusters to indies on the cheap, she was in everything. She was in some of the shoddiest films you’ll ever see, but she also had an Oscar nomination, one of the most unlikely in history.
At the Oscars, there were all these movie stars emerging from their limos, and then there was me. I felt like Cinderella. The greatest part was the feeling to be in the same Oscar category of these women that I was a huge fan of — Meryl, Glenn, Holly Hunter and Cher, who I used to rollerskate with in the ’70s.
Nudography, Part 1, 1969-1987 ages 27-45
Sally did her first three nude scenes at ages 27-32 with her natural hair and breasts. After a nine-year nudity hiatus, she dyed her hair blonde, but kept her natural breasts to do two more nude scenes. Those five films comprise today’s portion of her nudography.
Following her Oscar nomination for Anna (1987), she got implants to play a stripper in 1989’s High Stakes. She was already 47 years old at the time. Thus began the era for which most of us remember her, 1989-1997 (ages 47-55), as a middle-aged bleach blonde with an inflated chest.
She had the implants removed in 1998, moving on, after another long hiatus, to the final stage of her nudity career: sexy granny (2007-2019, ages 65-77).

This is an obscure Spanish drama in the Catalan language.
Mara visits an old friend who lives in the Sierra de Irta, Vera, who did not expect this visit, is about to go to Valencia to spend the Easter holidays. When Vera leaves, Mara makes a strange and irrational decision: to occupy her friend’s house for a few days. Mara plays with her new life while messages from her husband accumulate on her phone. Vera’s sudden arrival puts an end to the game: although Vera does not understand her friend’s behaviour, she senses that Mara is not going through her best moment. Mara also discovers the reason why Vera is “hiding” in that house: she has cancer. Together, they dust off memories and dreams of the past. Mara returns to Valencia where her new life awaits her, a life that she no longer recognizes and that she is willing to leave behind.

Christoph Waltz sure is creepy for a good-looking guy. He’s like Jeremy Irons with a weird accent. I think it’s the voice that makes those two creepy. So, there’s a topic for discussion. Which actor has the creepiest voice. Is it one of those two? Is it Til Schweiger? Willem Dafoe? Vincent Price? Peter Lorre? Or another player to be named later?
If Bobby Kennedy Jr. became an actor, in addition to a roadkill fancier and brainworm host, he’d get my vote.
The Funhouse Turns 30
It has now been 30 years since the first primitive edition of that venerable celebrity nudity site, Uncle Scoopy’s Funhouse, appeared on (of all places) AOL. There was exactly one picture – Madonna hitchhiking stark naked. There has been a daily edition every single day since then, except for approximately a month in 2023 when I took some time off to rest and recover from kidney issues.
Thirty years is a long time. I still enjoy finding the new material, and I still enjoy writing a few jokes now and then, but I have to admit that I don’t have as much fire in the belly as I used to, and I sometimes wonder how much longer the whole thing will last. After all, my two oldest sons are old enough to play with me in the Senior Games! When the elderly people in your family are your children, you can’t help but hear that ol’ clock ticking. (No, I have no plan to stop. Why would I if I enjoy it? But there’s always something unexpected like that kidney thing.)
Other Crap seems like my new project – until I realize that even this site is old enough to drink. To be exact, it is now 23 years old. I recently tested some posts from the early 2000s, and very few of them still work. Many lead to domains for sale! What can ya say? The internet keeps evolving.
I know that many of you have been reading my blogs since the 1990s, which is amazing in itself, and I thank you all for that.

A Catholic teacher and a Protestant solicitor defending IRA members engage in a forbidden relationship amidst the tensions of 1970s Northern Ireland in this adaptation of Louise Kennedy’s award-winning debut novel.
The main characters, Cushla and Michael, spend the first three episodes, especially episode two, having sex constantly, with and without their clothing. The first sex scene in episode two is the one you want to watch. There is considerably less sex in episode four, given that Michael had by that time made the rather poor decision to be murdered.
