I don’t know anything about these two women except that they both work out of Toronto.

A stirring near-futuristic romance of two best friends who harbor an unspoken love for one another even after a test matches one of them up with their supposed soulmate.

I actually watched this one all the way through. It’s not all that “futuristic,” except for the soul mate test. Not even then. It is an entertaining rom-com. The writing is witty, and Imogen Poots has good chemistry with Brett Goldstein.

We haven’t seen Poots around here in a while.

A seemingly perfect household unravels when an unexpected visitor arrives, exposing hidden tensions and political aspirations that threaten to tear the family apart.

This series turned out to be a colossal waste of my time. It’s one of those shows filled with sex, but almost no nudity.

In 1941, after being alerted by the village fool of an imminent German invasion, the inhabitants of a small Jewish village in Central Europe organize a fake deportation train so that they can escape the Nazis and flee to Palestine through Russia. Some Jews are dressed up with German uniforms, and soon they start getting strange ideas about how it feels to be a Nazi; others are infected with the fast-spreading germ of communism. Meanwhile, the Russian border gets closer and closer.
