This is the biographical story of a boyband. It’s a French series now streaming on Prime.

I thought this was a purely fictional story, but apparently 2Be3 was a real group that I never heard of. According to Wikipedia, they were a big deal in France in the late 90s, but never cracked the market in the U.K. or U.S.

It’s 1995. Filip, Adel and Frank, are lifelong best friends, who dream of escaping their Parisian suburban hometown. Starting from nothing, they form the first French boy band 2Be3, and become a true societal phenomenon. Surrounded by a ruthless industry, frenzied fans, and overwhelming media pressure, can they preserve their friendship and stay true to their ideals?

Romantic drama from the UK

Not many have seen the film, but the early reviews are strong, especially for Emma Laird’s performance.

IMDb – only 82 votes, but they average 8.3/10.

Two British composers are struggling to get through a block in both their creative and romantic lives while vacationing on the Greek Isles. Meanwhile, memories of the beginning of their relationship and the introduction of a beautiful tourist snaps the female composer out of her haze.
