I thought this was a purely fictional story, but apparently 2Be3 was a real group that I never heard of. According to Wikipedia, they were a big deal in France in the late 90s, but never cracked the market in the U.K. or U.S.
It’s 1995. Filip, Adel and Frank, are lifelong best friends, who dream of escaping their Parisian suburban hometown. Starting from nothing, they form the first French boy band 2Be3, and become a true societal phenomenon. Surrounded by a ruthless industry, frenzied fans, and overwhelming media pressure, can they preserve their friendship and stay true to their ideals?
Cecile is a singer/actress and the half-sister of Vincent Cassel.
