Is that not a bit more revealing than SI itself shows? What is the origin of these ‘behind the scenes’ shots?
This is a long tradition of SI going way back. Probably as far back as the late 80s, SI would sell a dvd and put a show on HBO I think it was, which was far more unedited. It was behind the scenes video and usually contained some nudity. They continued this year after year and then put much of it on their website. Only recently have they redone their website and much of it is not there anymore. You can still find some, but when they changed the site it became only low quality video. SI is going thru ownership changes so no idea what they have planned for the future. The swimsuit issue is one thing that makes them unique and gives them an edge so it would be pretty stupid for them to not showcase it again at some point.
Thanks for the reply. I was not aware of the SI Swimsuit Edition photos beyond what was actually published in the magazine. If SI is comfortable with showing a bit more than might be accepted in the magazine itself, and the models are willing, good for them.
