Highly stylized fantasy/comedy from Boots Riley. His first film, Sorry to Bother You was widely acclaimed (93% Tomato Meter). This one is also rated 92%!
A group of shoplifters take aim at a cutthroat fashion maven by stealing her clothes and reselling them at a lower price, what they call “fashion-forward philanthropy.”
That summary makes the film sound like a pretty straightforward comedy. It is not. It is surreal. I watched it, and I had to admire the style, imagination and competence. The comedy wasn’t to my taste, but I can see how people could like it. I expanded the below scene beyond the nudity portion, so you can judge whether you would enjoy the film.
