So here’s why House of Ashur episode 8 was delayed.
Amazon was running a two-month STARZ promotion at $1.99/month.
The season premiered December 5.
The finale is now scheduled for February 6.
That one-week delay pushes a chunk of promo subscribers into a full-price renewal month before the season ends, while also giving STARZ more time to steer them toward other shows instead of canceling.
This is exactly why grand theories about “reining in big business” never translate into action. the incentives are obvious, the behavior is predictable, and no one with actual authority steps in.
This is exactly why they offer cheap intro offers in the first place. They are under no obligation to sell you the entire season of a show for $4.
This is called “marketing”.

can’t you people just pirate one episode from anywhere? like I live in India and I have watched all the episodes on the very same day of their release in hd quality with subtitles and they are easily available everywhere.
But still, I would request you Americans to buy the subscription of Starz and watch it otherwise it might not become a profitable project for them and then they may not make more such pornos with mainstream actors oh sorry fantasy series.

How did Spanish actress Ivana Baquero agreed to do this show with that character I mean she is playing the role of a slave in this show and that too a whore slave (not even a gladiator) who is just there to show her naked body for simply viewers titillation purpose like she was kind of recognized actress before this so playing this wouldn’t decrease her stardom and impact the movies/shows she will be offered in future?
Well, if you think about it that way, Sydney Sweeney and other actresses should have been completely forgotten after certain sexualized roles. Sydney’s role in Euphoria boiled down to being naked, being the hot blonde at school who is sexualized at every moment, etc. Of course, there was drama in Sydney’s character in the series, and there’s also drama in Ivana’s character in House of Ashur. But no, that wouldn’t take away opportunities from her just because she played a very sexualized role; it could even be a springboard for her Hollywood career.
I’m not sure that your conclusion is correct. There’s no reason to think it will hurt her career.
But your question has a lot of merit. I, too, was surprised to see her take such an insignificant role. Maybe she is just trying to get a toe-hold in more English-language productions.
Let’s face it, you may win all kinds of awards in the Spanish language, but the big bucks (and the big fame) are in English.
That’s true. Don’t forget that Alexandra Daddario climbed many rungs in Hollywood thanks to that iconic scene in True Detective that we all know today. She was even nominated for an Emmy and starred in successful productions. But of course, there are also examples of actresses who sank after playing roles of that type… But it depends on the actress’s talent, the public’s reaction, etc.
