Grade-B Italian sexploitation film shot in Rome and Manila.
Italian painter Giorgio travels to the Philippines in the hope of kick-starting his creative drive. A chance meeting with the exotic Emanuelle does just exactly that – yet he gets more than he bargained for.
There is a screenwriting credit on this film, but most of it seems to be made up on the fly. Some of it is tethered to our normal expectations for continuity, but the “intrigue” portion of the plot is confusing and unresolved. It seems that there must be scenes on the cutting room floor that establish the missing connections between scenes and characters. As it stands, I was able to make more sense out of Finnegans Wake.
The best nudity and the most beautiful woman, Nicole Vincenti, can be seen in the opening credits. That lured me into watching the film. Big mistake. After that, it’s poorly shot sex scenes, wooden acting and topless dancing.
