This one is a brain teaser, I think. There are probably many possible sayings and cliches that could be considered correct. One hint: this famous pair is connected by “and.”

I ran this once before, and there was much weeping and gnashing of teeth. As I recall, there were some good answers, at least one of them completely correct, but not the one I had in mind.
