“Popeye the Slayer Man”
This was produced by ITN, the company behind the Poohverse, an MCU-style horror universe combining slasher films with Pinocchio, Bambi, and most famously Winnie the Pooh (it did all the popular Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey films). Popeye will not be part of that universe.
Popeye first appeared as a character in a newspaper cartoon in 1929. His creator, E.C. Segar, is created as a writer on this film! E.C. died almost 90 years ago, so he was not around to be embarrassed by that credit, nor to profit from it.

Cute! But I’m not buying her as Olive Oyl.
Yeah, she doesn’t really have that look.
I know you’re kidding, but Olive Oyl actually makes an appearance in the film, played by Kelly Rian Sanson.
