Giri/Haji (Japanese: 義理/恥, literally “Duty/Shame”) is a British crime series from BBC2 that was later released on Netflix.
Thanks to Shogun, she’s probably the best-known young Japanese star in the English-speaking world. She won an Emmy, an SAG award, and a Golden Globe for her performance in that series.
Trivia: (1) She was born in New Zealand; (2) She went to a Catholic (Jesuit) university; (3) She first became famous in Japan as a singer in a girl band.
You have probably noticed that, in addition to all of her talent, she is also very easy on the eyes!
