A young woman named Ida disappears without a trace. Her boyfriend voluntarily lets himself be locked up to be questioned by Ida’s father and brother, but does not tell the whole truth.
Scoop’s note: The phrase “does not tell the whole truth” is deliberately misleading, designed to protect the film’s central mystery. If I told you more, I’d spoil everything. It’s a poetic, dreamy, depressing film that I believe is underrated by the 5.8 score at IMDb – but I can see why the score is so low. It’s truly an art film, crafted well, with an interesting “reveal” that I didn’t see coming, but it has approximately zero appeal to mass audiences.
