Jane has a problem.
——-
She’s obsessed with Demetri and his band, and has a clear vision for what it would take to bring the band to stardom, but obstacles stand in the way of the band’s success which only she seems to recognize. Jane knows two things for certain: (1) Demetri is perfect; (2) only she knows what’s right for the band and can do what it takes for TERRIBLY LATE to reach stardom. Jane begins stalking Demetri and scheming to get close to him and his band. After seducing Demetri after a first date, the mysterious woman begins meddling in the band affairs with bloody and chaotic effect. While Demetri is unaware of the lengths Jane will go, he does not question her motivations. Sure, she’s brash and opinionated, but nothing he can’t handle, or so he thinks. While Demetri remains in the dark as to Jane’s bloody impact on the detractors of the band, his own band members, those that survive at least, begin exchanging notes on Jane’s erratic behavior and dark tendencies. When news of Jane’s past comes to light, it finally dawns on Demetri that this groupie is in fact as mysterious to him as she is psychotic. By the time the truth about Jane is exposed Demetri is in way too deep and is no longer in control of the band he formed. With Battle of the Bands right around the corner, can Demetri successfully break up with Jane and regain control of the band, or is that even what he wants? Yes, her means are bloody, but they are also effective and one does not become a Rock God without breaking a few eggs along the way.
I don’t know of the woman who plays Stalker Jane, with the not at all phony name of Halo Kitsch, but she is really creepy as the psychopathic groupie. I read that she is better known as a singer, and she has some decent reviews, but I didn’t check out her music.
There is virtually no nudity in this film, just a blurry peek behind a shower door (Kitsch), and a single dark breast reflected in a mirror (Miller).
