Nathalie Silvener, a married woman, falls for Gilles, a depressed and brilliant Parisian journalist who is already in a relationship with a model.
I never could figure out the difference between Claudine Auger and Claudine Longet. I suppose one of the key differences is that Auger didn’t kill any skiers.
That we know of.
Auger’s career got off to a great start when she was cast opposite Sean Connery in Thunderball, a film which gave her immediate international recognition at 24. She even snuck a flash of nipple into her portrayal of Domino. Superstardom eluded her, however. More to the point of this blog, she did remarkably little nudity for a French actress. A Few Hours of Sunlight was perhaps her nudity highlight.
She retired around 1997 and passed away in 2019, at age 78, following a long illness.

Surely it’s illegal for a French actress not to get naked regularly and comprehensively? I suspect she may have had her acting licence taken away for non-compliance, hence the unspectacular career.
I remember watching “Thunderball” and then (as one does) immediately going online to see if Ms. Auger had any decent nudity on film. Like Scoop, I was also disappointed in her scant offerings.
The IMDB trivia for Thunderball is pretty good. Seems Claudine’s French accent was a bit too thick so all her lines were dubbed over by Nikki Van der Zyl, who also dubbed all of Ursula Andress’s lines in “Dr. No.” So she was a “Bond Girl” in two different movies without ever appearing on screen.
Nikki van der Zyl appeared in 10 Bond movies and voiced more than a dozen characters.
