The role of said psyche prof is essayed by none other than the ubiquitous Eric Roberts. The eminent Mr. Roberts now has 95 films “upcoming” on IMDb. Nobody can accuse him of lacking energy.
With different lighting, this sex scene with Kari and Professor Roberts could have been an all-time great.

I remember reading an interview with her, about the time she started as a regular on Sliders, where she said she was “done with nudity” unless it was, like, a Robert Deniro movie.
A peak into her nudography shows she didn’t really stick with that plan.
I genuinely liked Sliders at first. While I appreciated her looks I remember being annoyed when they introduced her character. It’s been over two decades, but if I remember correctly they replaced one of the old cast members (might have been the talented John Rhys-Davies) with her and everyone hated it.
