Same theme continues. The favorites won everything, although Purdue gave Houston a scare by leading for much of a neck-and-neck game. Houston won on a really slick play with one second on the clock.
The teams that advanced were 1,1,2,2.
They join the 1,1,2,3 from yesterday.
It could still end up an all-SEC Final Four because the SEC has a team in all four of this weekend’s remaining games. The Big 12 has 2. The Big 10 and ACC have one apiece.
More likely, we may see a final four that consists entirely of #1 seeds. That has happened only once before (2008). All four of them are favorites this weekend.
Duke is the betting favorite to win the national title at 7-4 odds, with Florida just behind them at 3-1. If you like the long shots, Michigan State pays off 25-1.
