We had a friend, a neighbor who would air-drop turkeys to my family and to other families in the neighborhood. That was just such a huge impact on my life and others in the community.

I suppose this episode owes a debt of gratitude to Alice Cooper. Truth is stranger than fiction and things don’t get much stranger than the story of the ’69 Toronto Rock ‘n Roll Revival festival with the Alice Cooper chicken incident only being a small part of it. The ’69 pre-Ezrin Alice Cooper was not well known, but in a couple of years they would start becoming one of the most successful rock bands around. I don’t know how much the chicken story had to do with them being discovered, but I suppose it help put them on the map.
