You older guys remember her. She was Princess Ardala in that Buck Rogers show, and was on the small screen regularly through the 70s and early 80s. She co-starred in the Matt Houston TV series in the 80s, but she completely retired from acting when that series was cancelled in 1985. It was one of the most abrupt departures from show business in history, and she never attempted a comeback of any kind. People tend to retire when their careers are winding down, but not many go from co-starring in a popular series to total private life in one fell swoop.
Why did she do that? What happened to her since? I don’t know. Early in the run of the Matt Houston series, she had married one of the co-producers of the show, so that fact may lead to an explanation of her retirement, but I don’t know any more details other than the fact that in 2004 she wrote a small cookbook called “The Jewish-Sicilian Cookbook” under her married name, Pamela Hensley Vincent. There is a picture of her on the cover.
This (allegedly) represents when she looks like these days, but even if that is real, it must be an old photo because she is 73 now. I did read on TikTok that she will still answer fan mail and sign autographs.
Her only nude scene was lensed in her first screen appearance, when she was about 20, in There Was a Crooked Man, a star-studded Old Hollywood film that featured Kirk Douglas, Henry Fonda, and just about any 60s-70s character actor you can name.
She was interviewed by Oui magazine, and that article appeared in the January, 1981 issue, accompanied by two see-thru pics.
Back in the 1990s, Celebrity Skin ran some pictures that were supposed to be Pamela, but I have no idea where they were supposed to come from, or even whether they are really she. This ID cannot be trusted, but here is the info for the sake of completeness.
That is a mystery. Her husband continue to produce tv shows and movies up until 2006 so she would have had plenty of opportunity. And that lucky bastard was married to Dian Parkinson before Pamela. Doesn’t look like they had any kids so she wouldn’t be busy as a mother. Maybe she just lost interest or the husband didn’t want her hanging around actors much. They can get pretty jealous.
