SPOILERS
Shell is a film with the same basic premise as The Substance and The Beauty. People are obsessed with beauty and will do anything to obtain it, consequences be damned. As The Substance is to body/horror, Shell is to body/horror/comedy. Comedy? Well, it’s one of those films that’s not really funny when you watch it, but can be hilarious when you think about it, or if you describe it to somebody.
Here’s an example: the plot revolves around Kaia Gerber turning into a lobster.
The nudity just consists of random beautiful men and women wondering around a wellness clinic. Some extras are completely naked, but a pre-crustacean Kaia Gerber offers only some modest side-boob.

extras

Damn, she really does look like her mom. If only she was being as generous – Cindy had already posed twice in Playboy by the age of 23. Kaia is 24.
Also, female extras, would it really have hurt to leave the knickers off? C’mon now, it’s a freakin sauna. Realism, people!
It’s not like Kaia has never posed nude. Just not as frequently as her mom. Also, Cindy only really posed nude for Playboy twice. Once in 1988 and the other in 1998. The other one was just a bait and switch cover.
Not remotely as frequently. And not remotely as revealing-ly. I guess the 80’s and 90’s were a different time and I’m a bit salty about it. But if you’re gonna do a take-off of The Substance you should at least bring your A-game nudity-wise.
