IMDb: 5.9
Tomato Meter: 62%
The low IMDb score surprised me. It is an ambitious film, and it succeeds in many ways. It’s a showcase for Rosalind Eleazar, who not only handles the drama, but is an excellent singer. I feel that The New Yorker wrote an incisive review:
“Misty Green,” an acrid show-biz satire that reaches for, and nearly achieves, the weight and grandeur of tragedy, is also a countdown thriller, with a day-by-day structure that brings Misty’s past, present, and future into fateful collision. Her tough personal history comes into focus even as she flails in search of a career-reigniting comeback.

The only nudity is performed by anonymous extras at a party in Dubai, but Rosalind Eleazar did appear in various stages of undress, like the one below.

But the low critic ratings didn’t surprise you. I’ll explain why it’s rated so low. Female extras nudity. If the director had changed the scene and shown naked men, gay men, IMDb and Rottentomatoes ratings would have been better. Arab men prefer women, movie shows the Truth but typical western audience won’t understand it, Americans want gays, male nudity and american point of view everywhere.
