Sad that since then, there has been no more female nudity in his shows or films. Del Toro prefers male nudity. Which is strange because
because this was the only movie he made with female nudity and it gave him the only Oscars of his career for Best Picture and Best Director.
Where do Del Toro’s films have male nudity? In fact, The Shape of Water is his only film that has any nudity, whether male or female lol. And he made a Netflix series that also has female nudity.
Cabinet of Curiosities has both male and female nudity. In terms of full-frontal nudity, it has male only.
Nightmare Alley has full frontal male and Cabinet of Curiosities has multiple male full nude scenes, and female partial nudity.

Luca Guadagnino, every film of his has frontal male nudity lol. No, there is no nudity in Del toro films, in general.
I don’t care what kind of nudity Guillermo shows. The man makes some great movies. “Cronos”, “Blade II”, “The Devil’s Backbone”, “Hellboy”, “Hellboy II: The Golden Army”, “Pan’s Labyrinth”, “Crimson Peak”, “Pacific Rim”, “The Shape of Water”, “Nightmare Alley”, “Pinocchio”. He’s pretty much one of the best and he really does care about the work that he does. Plus, I love the horror collection he has. Watching him at the Criterion Closet was a joy to watch though my heart did weep for him when he learned that “Paths of Glory” hadn’t arrived yet.
