I didn’t expect that. She was diagnosed with breast cancer many years ago, but I thought she had beaten it. She was just in a new movie – released in May – a straight-to-internet flick starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. (Yeah, he’s still at it, although well into his 60s.)
Shannen became famous on “90210” in the early 90s, and landed a plum role on “Charmed” at the end of that decade. In between those two gigs, she made an erotic film called Blindfold: Acts of Obsession (1994), which was a would-be 9 1/2 Weeks with none of the passion or creativity of the original. You can download a film clip here, but be warned: it’s ten minutes of VHS-quality tedium with only a few worthwhile seconds, and there is no real lower-body exposure. (The unrated DVD seems to be an upscaled VHS.)
