History is reinterpreted far from the vision taught in schools, to break down foolish taboos and narrative caricatures about art, and to give names and surnames to the exploited images.
The title, La Revolución De Las Musas (Revolt of the Muses), is a reference to Ortega y Gasset’s famous work, La rebelión de las masas (Revolt of the Masses).

The first pilot was filmed in Tucson, AZ in the Fall of 2021. HBO/Max retooled the show, adding Rachel Hilson and Corbin Bernsen, in Feb of 2023. They subsequently moved the production of the show from Tucson to Albuquerque, re-shot the pilot, and finished the remaining episodes of Season 1 in March 2024.
