The Texas Tech Red Raiders, making their first trip to the Final Four, have been steadily improving throughout the season. Early in the year, they dropped a game to Baylor by 11, but they won the rematch going away (by 25). Then they avenged a 16-point loss to Kansas by absolutely crushing them in the rematch, 91-62. In the previous round of this tournament, their vaunted defense held second-seeded Michigan to 16 points in the first half!
