This Korean series is a historical romance. It has just been released on Netflix.
A cunning noblewoman and a notorious playboy engage in a secret game of seduction and manipulation, drawing an innocent young widow into their dangerous romantic power play.
The series is not the story here. The reason to pay attention is Nana, AKA Im Jin-ah. You older American guys probably never heard of her. I know I never did. But she seems to be a big deal at other ports of call, especially as a singer. She also won the title of World’s Most Beautiful Face in both 2014 and 2015 in the rankings issued each year by TC Candler.

I don’t want to be rude, but she doesn’t seem special at all. She looks exactly like every other South Korean woman that gets plastic surgery. I actually think she looked better before the rhinoplasty. Unfortunately, they have a VERY narrow definition of beauty over there.
Well, she turns 35 in November. She won all those “most beautiful” citations more than a decade ago.
That said, she looks pretty damned good to me.
The series is yet another adaptation of “Les Liaisons Dangereuses”, so I’m on the fence about whether to bother with it. I had seen the nudity warning on Netflix, and the director is known for his sex and nudity filled works, but I’m surprised Nana got this naked. You can see her bum in a previous Netflix series, “Mask Girl”, when she’s subjected to a strip search in prison, but I think it was probably a double.
I had never heard of “Nana” until today when I saw some people on Reddit being excited about her nude scene.
