Crime film from Slovakia that IMDb calls a “thriller.” It’s rated a respectable 6.7 at IMDb.
In the 1990s post-communist Slovakia, former woods worker Miki takes his chances to start doing business at a local level and climb up the ladder to become the biggest mafia boss in the country.
I watched it, so it was good enough to hold my attention (with a little fast-forwarding). It is a technically competent film, but not really original except for the unique locale. It’s basically just the usual gangsters doing the typical gangster shit, except this time in Eastern Europe.
I don’t know anything about Laura Wittnerova and neither does IMDb, which doesn’t even list her in the cast for this film. Her IG page says she is a model. I can certainly believe that because she is one gorgeous woman.
Also topless in this film: Rebeka Polakova, in a scene that’s too dark for us to see much of anything.
