Julie Benz naked in Darkdrive (1997)

Darkdrive was a straight-to-DVD sci-fi film that attracted no special attention (3.1 at IMDb), but had a surprising number of noteworthy elements surrounding it:

• Some of its soundtrack was incorporated into the opening sequence of South Park.
• This movie and Carnosaur 3 were the first two films ever offered on DVD in the UK. Only God knows why.
• Some of its concepts showed up two years later in The Matrix, including the actual term “the matrix.”
• The nude scene made our list of the Top Nude Scenes of 1997, and that was no small achievement against one of the strongest fields of any year in history.
