Not a lot of nudity in part 2 of the 2005, but there’s a fair bit of nudity in the American Pie rip-off Meat Pie, and the no-budget drama Little Bits of Light. There are also some decent scenes in Hell Has Harbour Views, Little Fish and Man-Thing. There are some pretty good movies in this update but also what could possibly be the worst Australian movie ever: Meat Pie, aka Australian Pie.
Meat Pie overview:
Filmmaker charlatan Garnet Mae decided to do his own version of American Pie. Jono (Ed Kavalee, now a major radio and TV fixture) is a young sex-obsessed man but his particular fetish is for the tools of the kitchen. One day while having sex with a meat mincer, he goes too far and unsurprisingly slices off his penis. Then he his given a transplant of a black porn actor’s large penis (I am not making this up). This attracts the attention of the ladies including Mandy (Joanne Ashton) and his girlfriend Charlotte (Erin Anne Gray) – maybe Jono can get laid again. Or something… at a certain point you just block out something this awful. I know it ends at a B and S ball and Austen Tayshus gets chased by an emu and the movie is full of a certain season’s participants of Big Brother, which severely dates this movie. I could say that this is the worst Australian movie ever made but I doubt this is even the worst movie Mae has mad. It’s possibly the only movie that got a proper release although I have previously capped Duran Duran. Just irredeemably awful. You can find a synopsis with collages and videos from Meat Pie here.
