Good luck with that.

Not mentioned on the list: personal tape recorders, hand calculators. In my lifetime, first they didn’t exist as consumer products, then they were important, then they were obsolete. Many inventions have not only become obsolete, but their non-existence has made many old TV shows and movies incomprehensible to kids today….
His intention? It will be the “Riviera of the Middle East.” One obstacle: no neighboring country wants to take all of those Palestinians. If only there was an immense amount of land with nobody living there. Now I’m starting to see how his plan is coming together! Share via: Facebook…
Example from the page: 5. If you feel bad about your mile time, just compare yourself to the sloth. It takes them an entire month to travel one mile. That doesn’t seem that slow to me. When I was high school, they didn’t need a stopwatch to time my 100-yard…
I’ve never eaten at a Hooters because I haven’t lived near one. However, the idea of turning Hooters into a family-friendly restaurant reminds me of something a friend once told me about the restaurant. A friend in law school told me that he really loved Hooters and often took his mother there. I found that kind of shocking, but he said she really liked their wings. That was 25 years ago. Reading that article makes me think I may be running out of time to try those wings since Hooters will probably be out of business soon. Hooters is yet another famous brand owned by a holding company that is in bankruptcy. Do leveraged buyouts ever work?
There was a time when Hooters was -the place- to go to get wings. If anything, relying on the girls was their downfall. By focusing on them, Bdubs, Wing Stop, etc were able to come up and become the best for wings.
Then Hooters stopped even being good for a “Breastaurant” segment (Twin Peaks seems to be clobbering them here in Dallas, but they’re headquartered here so that may make them stronger here) so they are behind in both ways.
Fighting to be the wing place again? A futile fight (hot damn bdubs is good) but it makes sense.
