That is really how movie nudity should always be. Not is shadows or at odd often unnatural angles but wide open like in real life like Daddario’s TD scene. If Katie’s scene was better lit and a bit longer it would have been truly epic but it only got it’s status because of all the guys that had a crush on her from Dawson’s. A child actress that grew up to do nudity in great lighting was Alyssa Milano in Embrace of the Vampire. I don’t think that scene get’s enough credit. Of course Phebe in Fast Times was awesome. I had just graduated when that came out. Great lighting and long enough to get a good view. Especially since we didn’t have the ability to pause and/or rewind back in the old days! Of course Jamie in Trading places again good lighting!
This was the first NC-17 film that I saw in the theaters back in 2004. Later that year, I also saw “The Brown Bunny” at an arthouse theater. I want my money back for that film after learning that Vincent Gallo’s cock was a fake.
But was his dick really fake? Because Chloë Sevigny and Vincent Gallo have bragged about the scene being real for many years. Is there official confirmation that it was a prosthesis?
Claire Denis said it was a prop that Gallo stole from a film they did together in “Trouble Every Day”
And Gallo and Sevigny said it’s real. It’s impossible to know who is telling the truth at this point.
Maybe this performance finished second, but If Daddario had made this movie, you would have had to permanently end the polls.
I imported the 4k blu-ray of this movie, last year. Well worth it!
