This was the end of my streak and therefore the end of an era. I had attended more consecutive galas than Ripken had ballgames. Surely The King’s Trust people know that I never miss a gala. Damn, my invitation must have been lost in the mail. I’ll bet E-Rat was upset when I didn’t show.
